What is a "Host Family"?
"Families" come in all shapes and sizes. We have traditional
couples with children: single people, old and young, working and retired;
elderly couples whose children have long gone, or young couples who
have a spare room or two. Anyone can be a family- just call our family
co-ordinators Trish or Marie for more information

In 2009 we are expecting students from France and Spain to study English
in Southport, Blackpool and Liverpool.
The students are aged between 11 and 18 and travel in groups with at
least one adult leader who speaks good English. The students stay for
1,2,3 or 4 weeks at a time, and you can choose dates that suit you.
The students come to England during school holidays and July is therefore
our busiest time.

What will I have to do?
You will be sent details about student(s) and information about their
arrival in your town. You will meet the co-ordinator at the arrival and
be introduced to your student. You will take your student to the teaching
premises the next day and pick them up at the end of the first day. Students
attend lessons every week day from 9 till 12.30 and then have afternoon
activities arranged for them by us. On a Saturday they will also have
a full day excursion from 9 till 6. The students will be issued with bus/train
passes so they can travel to and from the teaching premises.
You will provide full board for the student every day, including a packed
lunch. You will be paid expenses for doing this. Our co-ordinators will
explain this to you.

What do I have to do next?
Contact our co-ordinator who will arrange a time to come and see you.
She will give you details about our Company, and quickly run through
the process with you. She will look at the room(s) you have available,
and discuss with you what age and sex of student you would like to become
part of your "family", and the dates you are available. You
are under no obligation to host a student, and if you change your mind
at any time just let us know- but from our experience you will be "hooked"-
just ask families who have hosted for over 10 years! |
